John 3:1-17
Pastor Steven D. Bruns

Nicodemus embarks on a journey to know the person of Jesus Christ. He learns all three persons of the triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each have a part to play in our salvation.

The Good News isn’t just that God initially saves us through the acts of Jesus Christ; but that because of the love of God, and by Jesus’ actions, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are saved, and continue to be transformed into the likeness of God by our fellowship with the great Three-In-One.

This is possible because we are created in the image of God! We, too, have a three-part nature: body, soul, and spirit. When we are saved and continually transformed by God, our spirit is finally able to overrule the desires of our body, and allow us commune with God, as God originally desired before the fall of humanity.

Amen!
