This Table

Cross and Flame

1 Corinthians 10:14-17; 11:23-26

The table is where we are fed, it is where we are nourished, it is where we experience life with each other. The Lord’s table is where we experience the presence of Christ and are spiritually cared for by God.

May we all be nourished at the Lord’s table and live a life of gratitude and thanks for everything God has done for us!

The Communion Table

Kandace Brooks

Dear Friends,

I love Thanksgiving! Abundant food, lively conversation, stories told, family gathered. It’s a time to give thanks to God, a time to celebrate our blessings, a time to remember.

This year I have the joy of including you in my list of blessings, and give thanks to God for this church that loves each other so well, and that reaches out in the name of Christ to serve those in our community who may be going through a rough time. It makes sense that this morning (November 18) we explore the meaning of the Communion Table for the church, and as we gather at the table, we also take time to offer our financial pledge for the upcoming year.

I am excited about the future of this church, and look forward to all that God will do among us and through us. I want to thank you in advance for the way that you support this church so generously. I realize that we have before us a large financial goal – but I am also confident that by God’s grace and provision we can meet this goal and move forward in ministry!

Gratefully,

Kandace

Christmas Bible School

nativity

We are excited to announce that December 19-23 we will be having Christmas Bible School (CBS).

This is going to be a Vacation Bible School during Christmas break. Numerous volunteers have come forward to put this together and we are going to have a limited enrollment of fifty children.

During this week of activity the children from kindergarten to fifth grade will play games themed to the Christmas season, make crafts, and learn the Christmas story. Throughout the week they will also be learning several Christmas carols, and on Friday they will have a short concert for their parents.

We are the only church in the area that will be putting on this type of program at this time of year, so it will be a wonderful way to reach out to families in our community. This is especially true with Christmas Eve being the next day after CBS ends, as that will be a natural service to invite the families back to worship with us.

Please be in prayer for this new program of our church. If you have any questions or would like to help in some way, please contact the church office.

God bless you this Christmas, and may we be a blessing to others!
