After a very busy Christmas season, it seems as if the second month of the year is already upon us! February brings us two mayor events and a big holiday. The events are the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day, and the holiday is President’s Day.
This month also is dedicated to Cancer prevention (see the bulletin insert this week) and for Scouting (Boys and Girls Scouts). All of them are celebrations of life!
Giving, paying, enjoying family time, I want to encourage you to take your time, and Paul in Colossians 1:3-6 says; “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people — the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” So, because love is contagious, I want to encourage you to spend you’re your free time enjoying with your family and friends. Don’t forget that spending your time in a loving way is especially with your loved ones. It’s the real deal when you’re investing your time with your family and friends. You are showing them that you really feel and care for them. That’s our duty as Christians: to love.
