Holy Week and Easter

You are welcome to join us as we journey through Holy Week, and celebrate Easter!

Maundy Thursday

March 29, 2018
7:00 p.m.

This will be an experiential service to remember the meal and service Jesus offered his disciples. There will be music, scripture reading, and a service of communion and foot washing. For some this will be a new experience. However, we do not want anyone not to come, because of comfort level. You will be able to choose your level of participation.

Good Friday

March 30, 2018
7:00 p.m.

The focus of our Good Friday service will the the Seven Last Words of Christ. The service will include scripture and music to lead the worshipper through the final moments of Jesus’ life. The purpose of the service is to recreate the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events and bring us into the mind of Christ as he made the ultimate sacrifice.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 31, 2018
10:00 a.m. – Noon

There will be a story time to start the day off, then we will move on to the Easter Egg Hunt. Children will be separated by age and placed in the correct location for their Easter Egg Hunt. This will make it fair for the children and parents. Parents will need to stay near their children during the event.

Easter Day

Sunday, April 1, 2018
8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

8:00 a.m. Traditional Easter Worship
9:00-10:15 a.m. Breakfast Served in Bleekman Hall
10:30 a.m. Traditional Easter Worship

Christ is Risen, and we will celebrate and rejoice with two traditional worship services. Breakfast for everyone will be served in Bleekman Hall from 9:00-10:15 a.m.

Who Should I Bring?
Bring your family, friends and neighbors. Everyone is welcome! We will offer free childcare for infants through kindergarten. Children in first grade and higher will join their families for the Easter celebration. You are also welcome to keep kids of any age with you in worship.
What Should I Wear?
You should wear whatever makes you comfortable. Many people will be dressed up because of this special day, and many will be experiencing this environment of worship for the first time.
Where Should I Park?
We have plenty of free parking. Turn in from Granada Blvd onto Old Tomoka Road and you will find ample parking in our two grass fields, or in our paved lot. Overflow parking is available across the street at Tomoka Elementary.
