📜 Obituary

Joseph (Joe) Francis March, Jr., 86, of Ormond Beach, Florida, went home to be with the Lord

on May 24, 2025. He was born on October 24, 1938, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, to Joseph and Clara March. Joe was married for 65 years to his high school sweetheart, Priscilla March.

He graduated from Revere High School in Massachusetts in 1956 and completed additional education at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Johnson & Wales University. A proud Navy veteran who served as a Third Class Radio Man and aboard the USS Taconic in the late 1950s, he carried his sense of duty and discipline into every chapter of his life, including a successful career in food sales across the Boston region.

Those who knew Joe will remember a man of many interests and a servant’s heart. He had a remarkable way of enriching the lives of others—whether coaching Little League in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where he mentored countless young boys, or simply enjoying following his beloved Boston sports teams and swinging golf clubs with friends. A lifelong lover of music, he found great joy in singing in the choir at Tomoka United Methodist Church, where he was also a devoted member and leader, serving in numerous board positions over the past two decades. His deep sense of service extended to the broader community through his volunteer work at AdventHealth Palm Coast, where he found fulfillment offering a helping hand.

A lover of the outdoors with a green thumb, he took pride in gardening and staying productive even until the end. Yet above all, it was his family who brought him the greatest joy. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family was the constant thread through his life—a love that shaped his every action and left a lasting legacy of devotion and joy.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Clara, and his sister, Estelle Williams. He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; his children: David (Fernanda, fiancée) of Moosup, CT, Elizabeth Sherry (David) of Yulee, FL, Stephen (Jodie) of Summerville, SC, and Frederick (Rhonda) of Warwick, RI; his nephew, James Williams (Joyce) who was like a son; his grandchildren: Mychaela Bardakjy (Scott), Jonathan March (Monica), Aislynn Murphy (Ryan), Jennifer March, Joseph Sherry, Seth March (Kylie, fiancée), and Nathan March (Kelly); and his great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Abigail, Ezra, Anthony, Levi, Asher, Callum, Emerson, and Shay.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23

We ask that you keep the March family in your prayers during this time of remembrance and mourning.
