Youth Group Needs Your Help!

Our Tomoka UMC Youth Group has an exciting fall schedule planned, and we would love your help in making these evenings special for our youth!

Help Provide a Youth Group Meal

One of the easiest ways to support our youth is by providing a meal for one of their Sunday evening gatherings. The youth meet in Bleekman Hall from 5:00–7:00 p.m., and volunteers are asked to have the meal ready by 5:00 p.m. You do not need to stay for the entire evening.

If you would like to provide a meal, please sign up in the Narthex for one of the following dates:

  • October 18

  • November 1

  • November 15

  • November 29

  • December 6

  • December 13

Thank you to everyone who helps support our youth in this way! Your generosity provides an opportunity for our young people to gather together, share a meal, build friendships, and grow in their faith.

Fall Youth Group Schedule

The Youth Group has a fun and meaningful fall planned, with opportunities for fellowship, service, faith formation, and plenty of fun!

September

  • September 19 – Join us for the churchwide picnic at Bicentennial Park, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

  • September 21 – No school! Youth will serve at Community UMC and then go to lunch together.

  • September 27 – Astro Skate, 3:00–5:00 p.m. Meet at Tomoka UMC at 2:45 p.m.

October

  • October 4 – Hot Chocolate Bar and Spooky Scriptures, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • October 12 – No school! Trip to the Central Florida Zoo. Tickets are $22 each.

  • October 18 – Spooky Scripture Lesson, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • October 25 – Campfire at Don and Patty Bonnema’s home, 5:00 p.m.

November

  • November 1 – All Saints Day lesson and the Disney movie Coco, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • November 6–8 – Fall Retreat at Camp Warren Willis

  • November 15 – Lesson on Gratitude, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • November 22 – No Youth due to Thanksgiving week.

  • November 29 – First Sunday of Advent: A lesson on Advent and Hope, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

December

  • December 6 – Lesson on Love, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • December 13 – Lesson on Joy, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • December 20 – Youth Christmas Party, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • December 27 – No Youth

  • January 3 – No Youth

We are grateful for everyone who helps make Youth Group possible, whether through providing a meal, volunteering, supporting an event, or simply encouraging our young people. Thank you for being part of the Tomoka UMC community and for helping our youth grow in faith and fellowship!
